Film on the Run is a traveling film festival bringing cutting-edge short films from around the world to thousands of college students across the country. Film on the Run offers a chance to see films from Sundance, Cannes, SXSW, Tribeca, Venice, Toronto and beyond - all in one place, as they were intended to be shown….with the lights down low, on a big fat screen, in front of a live audience.

FOTR is also looking for student films from every school they visit. Each festival stop will include at least three films or videos from the campus student body. If you are a student filmmaker, be sure to check The Info page for information on how to submit your film for screening.

ON CAMPUS


At Florida State University’s The Film School, a senior thesis film written and directed by 2005 graduate Melissa Rossi -- and appropriately titled Charm -- endeared itself to the judges and took home an Oscar during the 32nd annual Student Academy Awards.
